I was asked once by a Mexican "Why do Americans hate Mexicans?" I was astonished that this person believed that Americans hate Mexicans. I told him; "Americans don't hate Mexicans, we hate what Mexicans are doing to our country. You come here and take low paying jobs. You don't understand that Americans don't work these jobs because it is our way and our duty to protect ourselves from exploitation. We don't take these jobs until the company pays a decent wage. When Mexicans come here and work for wages that are not high enough, they hurt us by creating a way for these companies to exploit workers. They give these companies life at the expense of the well being of the worker.
In Mexico they have companies that go there from all over the world. They go there because the citizens in that country allow them to exploit workers. They are not allowed to exploit the American people, so they cross the border and use the Mexican people. Mexicans and Americans can blame NAFTA, big business, their governments and everyone else for their problems. The fault does not lie within these entities.
The big companies are going to go where they can exploit and use people and resources to their advantage. If the people of Mexico want to solve their problems, they need to start with themselves. Don't work for these companies. That is your answer. If you don't work for them, they won't be able to survive. It is as simple as that. If they cannot find workers, they will not succeed. You don't need the Communist Workers Party or the Unions for that. Just don't work for them and they will either go away or pay a decent wage.
Our ancestors fought and died for our country and our Constitution. We the people should be running our government and should become knowledgeable about who we have chosen to represent us in our government on every level. We need to look at our federal agencies and who is running them and what laws they are passing within these agencies. It is the duty of each and every citizen of this country to know everything about the people representing them in government in this country.
It's not the place of governments to run the people; it is the place of the people to run the government. In America, we have people coming here from their own failed countries and economies who want to change our government to a communist or socialist one. When the government controls the people, the government can do anything to its citizens. Who are the most powerful people in a country in which the government runs the country? The wealthy own these governments.
I am not anti-big business and I believe in the Capitalist economy because in such an economy, anyone can become wealthy. In those countries where people have no control over their government, who do you think is going to benefit? Remember; companies and businesses will go where they can make the most money and if it involves using people and not paying them enough, what do they care? If the people who choose to work for them don't care, why should the companies care?
Mexicans need to start by taking control of their country, owning their own government and by not allowing businesses to exploit and use them as slave labor. Mexicans need to stop coming to America illegally and to go back to their homeland to have enough pride in their own country to heal their own land. It is their duty and responsibility to do so and it is our responsibility as Americans to control and run our own government. It is the duty and responsibility of every American to choose not to work for those companies who will not pay a decent wage.
