Ghetto: Fenced-off, densely populated areas in which Jews were forced to live in European cities. Many died in ghettos from hunger and disease.
Why have blacks in this country hi-jacked the name ghetto for the areas they choose to live in. No one is forcing any race, nationality or religion to live in a walled off area. People in poor areas can come and go to these areas as they please. There is no place in America where people are walled in and forced to live there. The idea that this word has been hi-jacked and used to represent poor is appalling to me.
No, I take that back: There is a religion that is being rounded up and forced to live in barracks in America. They are the FLDS mothers and children. They have been rounded up and placed in homes by the government.
